The mouse monoclonal Strep-tag Antibody is designed for the sensitive detection of recombinant proteins carrying the short Strep-tag II affinity tag epitope.

The antibody is part of the two-step affinity purification system, which utilizes the 6x His tag and the short Strep-tag II for efficient purification of ultrapure proteins. Recombinant proteins carrying both tags are purified sequentially on Ni-NTA and Strep-Tactin matrices, providing fully active, full-length, ultrapure protein suitable for downstream applications.

Recombinant proteins carrying the 6xHis tag and Strep-tag II are expressed in various cell systems using specific vectors. After cell lysis and clearing of the lysate, proteins are initially purified using immobilized-metal affinity chromatography based on the 6x His-tag-Ni-NTA interaction. Subsequently, proteins are loaded directly onto a Strep-Tactin matrix for Strep-tag purification. The antibody enables the detection of purified proteins with high specificity and sensitivity.

This antibody offers excellent results in dot and western blotting procedures, providing highly specific and sensitive detection. Prepared under serum-free conditions, it ensures the absence of viruses, mycoplasma, and contaminating immunoglobulins.
