Fixing tissues with formalin often results in RNA crosslinking, which compromises RNA performance in downstream applications. The miRibo™ FFPE Kit employs special lysis and incubation conditions to reverse formalin crosslinking, efficiently releasing RNA from tissue sections while preventing further RNA degradation. The kit’s unique lysis buffer facilitates sample lysis and proteinase K digestion in just 15 minutes, ensuring optimal RNA yields without sacrificing quality.
The entire procedure, from sample lysis to RNA purification, can be completed in as little as 85 minutes, offering unparalleled efficiency and convenience. Genomic DNA is rapidly removed using an optimized DNase step with DNase Booster Buffer, and concentrated RNA is purified using RNeasy MinElute spin columns. With elution volumes ranging from 14 to 30 µl, smaller reaction volumes are possible in downstream applications, enhancing experimental flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
