The TaqType™ Microsatellite PCR Kit is an expertly crafted and a functionally validated product designed to cater to microsatellite typing applications such as VNTRs, STRs, relationship analysis and population genetics applications via the multiplexing format. This is made possible by a master mix recipe with the FusionTaq™ Pro DNA polymerase at its core supported by the MicroSat™ PCR buffer and the revolutionary AvBlend™ Solution for a quick and accurate plex reaction (up to 13-Plex).
The FusionTaq™ Pro Polymerase is a hot start enzyme optimized to be highly specific to templates and provides a platform for analysis via the STR or VNTR markers in bacteria, plants, animals and humans. The FusionTaq™ Pro Polymerase is also supported by the PrimeFactor™ additive implementing the multiplex format to ensure high yields and specific amplification of microsatellite loci.
The MicroSat™ PCR buffer is crafted with the unique dual-cation mix for specific primer binding working in tandem with the AvBlend™ Solution, ensuring high concentrations of primers around the template. This allows annealing of primers at a wide range of temperatures.
The PCR products generated from this kit are compatible with capillary sequencing needs or any other electrophoresis methods.
Multiplexing of microsatellite analysis allows for short assay development times with minimal optimization and reliable results, and the TaqType™ PCR kit is the perfect lab partner to embark on that journey.
For 200 reactions
● TaqType™ Multiplex PCR Master Mix (3 X 0.85 mL)
● 5X AvBlend™ Solution (1 X 2 mL)
● Nuclease-Free Water (2 X 1.9 mL)
Up to 13-Plex Multiplex Reaction Setup
Dual-cation Buffer mix system
Hot start enabled DNA polymerase
Stabilization of mismatched primers by PrimeFactor™ additive
For analysis of
● STRs (Short Tandem Repeats)
● SSRs (Short Simple Repeats)
● VNTRs (Variable number of tandem repeats)
● Population Genetics
● Relationship Analysis
● Individual or species identification
● Microsatellite instability
Typically, a 25µL reaction volume is suggested.
Microsatellites are usually up to 0.5kb in length and therefore the kit is validated for up to that length. The kit produces better results with shorter amplicon lengths.
The PrimeFactor™ additive present in the AvBlend™ Solution increases local concentration of primers around the template and also aids in stabilization of the primers post-annealing, therefore permitting FusionTaq™ to extend effectively as compared to other TaqPols on the market.
The multiple loci amplification generated by the TaqType™ Microsatellite PCR kit is suitable to be used for high resolution methods such as capillary sequencing to obtain very specific sequencing signals on industry standard sequencers.
