Designed to deliver consistent and reproducible results, the MagAction™ Plant Foundation Kit streamlines the DNA purification process for plant samples, whether fresh, frozen, dried, or lyophilized. With a typical yield ranging from 1 to 15 µg and an elution volume of 100 µl, the purified DNA is suitable for a wide range of downstream applications, including PCR and real-time PCR, as demonstrated by successful analyses (see figures “Successful PCR analysis” and “Reliable real-time PCR analysis”). The principle behind the MagAction™ Plant Foundation Kit lies in its efficient utilization of MagAction™ magnetic particle technology, combined with the proven reliability of silica-based DNA purification methods. Mechanical disruption of plant samples using homogenizer results in finely powdered tissue, which is then resuspended in lysis buffer and subjected to centrifugation. The resulting lysates are transferred to a 96-well microplate containing MagAction™ magnetic particles, where genomic DNA selectively binds to the particle surface. Following washing steps to remove impurities, pure genomic DNA is eluted with a low-salt buffer, ready for use in downstream applications.
