Selectively isolate and enumerate lactobacilli from dairy and other pathological samples with this medium.
Selectively isolate and enumerate Lactobacilli with InMicro® Dehydrated: Rogosa Agar. The medium has given excellent results when used in quantitative and qualitative studies of lactobacilli in feces, saliva and mouth rinses, and in dairy products.
Rogosa Agar, a modification of the medium described by Rogosa et al., is a selective medium for the isolation and enumeration of lactobacilli. High acetate concentration and low pH of the medium effectively suppress other bacteria, but also many strains of other lactic acid bacteria. The modification of the pH to 6.2 instead of 5.5 alters the selectivity of the medium for the whole group of lactic acid bacteria.
Manufactured at a cGMP-compliant facility under the ISO 13485 standard, ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards, consistency, and reliability for both research and industrial settings.
