Detect, enumerate and differentiate the members of coliform group while conforming to the formula with this medium.
Detect, enumerate and differentiate the members of coliform group with InMicro® Dehydrated: Eosin Methylene Blue Agar, Modified (Levine). This versatile medium, modified by Levine, is used for the differentiation of Escherichia coli and Enterobacteria aerogenes and also for rapid identification of Candida albicans.
Use Eosin Methylene Blue Agar (Modified) Levine for isolation and differentiation of Enterobacterioceae.
Easy-to-read: due to Eosin–Y and methylene blue indicators Escherichia coli (purple colonies with green metallic sheen) are easy to differentiate from Enterobacteria aerogenes (purple mucoid colonies).
Weld proposed the use of Eosin methylene blue agar (Modified) Levine, with added chlortetracycline hydrochloride for the rapid identification of Candida albicans in clinical materials. A positive identification of Candida albicans could be made after 24 to 48 hours incubation at 37°C in 10% carbon dioxide from feces, oral and vaginal secretions, and nail or skin scrapings.
Manufactured at a cGMP-compliant facility under the ISO 13485 standard, ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards, consistency, and reliability for both research and industrial settings.
