Isolate, enumerate and differentiate urinary pathogens with good colonial differentiation and clear diagnostic characteristics with this medium.
Isolate, enumerate and differentiate urinary pathogens with good colonial differentiation and clear diagnostic characteristics using InMicro® Dehydrated: CLED Medium with Andrade’s Indicator. The medium is a modification of the CLED Medium as described by Mackey and Sandys. The addition of Andrade’s indicator along with bromothymol blue in the medium enhances the appearance of colonies and aids in the identification of microorganisms. The electrolyte deficient nature of CLED Medium prevents the swarming of Proteus species thereby further improving the colonial differentiation.
Use CLED Medium (with Andrade Indicator) to support the growth of the main urinary pathogens for diagnostic urinary bacteriology. Provides easy colony differentiation as Escherichia coli appear as yellow opaque colonies, Proteus form translucent blue colonies, Salmonella appear as flat green colonies while Staphylococcus form deep yellow colonies. Prevents swarming of Proteus species through the electrolyte deficient nature of CLED Medium. Enhances the appearance of colonies and aids identification with the presence of Andrade’s Indicator.
Manufactured at a cGMP-compliant facility under the ISO 13485 standard, ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards, consistency, and reliability for both research and industrial settings.
