Optimize your recovery of high-quality DNA from FFPE tissue samples with the FFPE Pro VersaKit™ with xylene-free deparaffinization, double-lyse protocol, and UNG digestion for artifact removal.
$227.00 – $495.00Price range: $227.00 through $495.00
The FFPE Pro Versakit™ is designed to enhance the recovery of high-quality DNA from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues. Featuring a xylene-free, no-wash deparaffinization process, a double-lyse protocol, and innovative Ultra-Clean Production (UCP) spin column technology, these kits offer improved performance and reliability in DNA extraction from challenging FFPE samples. With an optional uracil-N-glycosylase (UNG) digestion step, the kits effectively remove C-U transitions of nucleic acids, optimizing the recovered DNA for downstream applications such as next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis. The UNG treatment reduces false-positive reports of single-nucleotide variants (SNVs) in NGS, ensuring more accurate results. The preparation of DNA from FFPE tissues involves overcoming several challenges, including low yields due to limited input material, formalin-induced crosslinks rendering DNA nonamplifiable, and the presence of deaminated-cytosine artifacts causing false results in NGS. The FFPE Pro Versakit™ addresses these challenges by employing a two-step lysis procedure to ensure high DNA extraction even from difficult-to-lyse samples. The replacement of solvent-based paraffin removal with Deparaffinization Solution eliminates wash steps before initial lysis, minimizing the risk of losing scarce sample material. The optional UNG treatment before the second lysis step removes deaminated-cytosine artifacts, making the DNA particularly suitable for NGS analysis. This comprehensive approach maximizes DNA yields and quality from FFPE samples, enabling reliable and accurate downstream applications.
