Achieve efficient protease digestion in DNA and RNA isolation procedures with our Avam® Protease and Proteinase K Kit, offering high activity and compatibility with selected Avam® protocols.
$50.40 – $365.00Price range: $50.40 through $365.00
The Avam® Protease and Proteinase K provides essential enzymes for efficient protease digestion in DNA and RNA isolation procedures. Avam® Protease, a recombinant serine protease isolated from a Bacillus strain, offers stability and high activity, particularly in alkaline pH conditions (pH 7.5 – 10.5). It exhibits 30 to 40% higher specific activity than Proteinase K in Tris-containing buffers of alkaline pH. Additionally, Avam® Protease demonstrates comparable activity to Proteinase K in the presence of strong denaturants like urea and guanidine HCl, with an EDTA concentration of less than 8 mM. The enzyme can be efficiently inactivated by incubation at 70°C for 15 minutes, making it suitable for various molecular biology applications. Proteinase K, derived from the saprophytic fungus Tritirachium album, offers broad substrate specificity and stability over a wide range of temperatures and pH values. It possesses high specific activity, which remains stable even at higher temperatures, and does not require soluble calcium for enzymatic activity. This unique feature makes Avam® Proteinase K ideal for short digestion times and ensures reliable performance in DNA and RNA isolation protocols.
Both enzymes included in the kit are quality-guaranteed by Avam®, ensuring consistent and reproducible results. With their compatibility with selected Avam® protocols and versatility in various molecular biology applications, the Avam® Protease and Proteinase K Kit serve as indispensable tools for researchers engaged in DNA and RNA preparation and analysis.
