Product Description

The Avam® Multiplex Pro PCR Kit relies on the FusionTaq™ Pro DNA Polymerase, Multiplex PCR Buffer and the optional to use GlowSight™ Dye to make multiplex PCR reactions a breeze for a plethora of applications.

Inherently, multiplex PCR is a time and resource-saving method extensively used in genotyping, DNA or cDNA testing, and metagenomics studies. Despite its benefits, optimization remains crucial for its success. Varying hybridization kinetics among primer pairs can cause amplification bias and nonspecific priming. Failure to address these challenges may result in poor sensitivity and inconsistent results. The Multiplex Pro PCR Kit is a solution to all of these problems allowing for quick and accurate results with minimum variation to the PCR procedure. The recombinant polymerase allows for reaction setup at room temperature thanks to its hot start nature where the enzyme has no activity at ambient temperatures. The Multiplex PCR buffer is a pre-optimized mix with the Prime Factor to ensure the perfect ionic concentration resulting in precise amplifications of tricky templates even with multiple primer pairs.

The kit also comes pre-packaged with the AVBlend™ assisting with templates that are not easy to amplify and the GlowSight™ Dye which affords the possibility to directly load PCR products onto an agarose gel without the requirement of an additional gel loading dye. The GlowSight™ dye makes gel run tracking easier with it red and orange tracking dyes and improves visibility for pieptting during gel loading.

The Multiplex Pro PCR kit simplifies optimization, overcoming the usual constraints noted during PCR setups and ensuring success on the first attempt, thus reducing costs.

Product FAQs
What reaction volume is suited for this kit?

Typically a 50µL reaction volume is suggested.

Is the initial hotstart phase for the polymerase mandatory?

Yes, the unique characteristics of FusionTaq™ are activated when the PCR mix is hotstarted at 95°C for 15 minutes.

How is primer annealing efficiency ensured?

The PrimeFactor™ additive present in the AvBlend™ increases local concentration of primers around the template and also aids in stabilization of the primers post-annealing, therefore permitting FusionTaq™ to extend effectively as compared to other TaqPol
alternatives on the market.

What is the rate of error noted with the use of the Multiplex kit?

The revolutionary Multiplex kit is designed to simplify the PCR process while increasing reproducibility by removing several ways of contaminations and errors. The premix helps to reduce the number of pipetting steps required during the setup of a reaction.
