Cultivate aerobes and anaerobes and carry out sterility testing using InMicro® Dehydrated: Fluid Thioglycollate Medium. This general-purpose medium was first described by Brewer in 1940 consisting of a small amount of agar and a reducing substance to initiate the growth of anaerobes and for sterility testing.
Ease of Identification: Resazurin is an oxidation-reduction indicator which turns pink when oxidation is increased.
This medium is used for qualitative procedures. This medium contains casein peptone and cystine that provides nitrogen and carbon compounds, agar that impedes oxygen diffusion, and sodium thioglycollate, which is a reducing agent that maintains a low oxygen tension in the anaerobic medium. Yeast extract supplies B-complex vitamins and enhances the growth of microorganisms.
Manufactured at a cGMP-compliant facility under the ISO 13485 standard, ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards, consistency, and reliability for both research and industrial settings.
