Obtain fast and accurate results with a medium designed for the differentiation of microorganisms based on carbohydrate fermentation and hydrogen sulfide production.
Differentiate gram-negative enteric bacilli such as Enterobacteriaceae on the basis of dextrose, lactose and sucrose fermentation and hydrogen sulfide production using InMicro® Dehydrated: Triple Sugar Iron Agar Medium.
The sucrose content in this medium permits the recognition and exclusion of sucrose-fermenting species. These organisms may ferment lactose slowly, or not at all, during the incubation period, but they attack sucrose readily. Some Proteus and other species may give similar reactions to salmonellae and shigellae, and it is necessary to distinguish them by their ability to hydrolyse urea. Triple Sugar Iron Agar should be used in parallel with Urea Broth or Urea Agar.
Manufactured at a cGMP-compliant facility under the ISO 13485 standard, ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards, consistency, and reliability for both research and industrial settings.
