Detect coliform organisms in water, wastewater and foods with InMicro® Dehydrated: Lauryl Tryptose Broth.
Detect coliform organisms in water, wastewater and foods with InMicro® Dehydrated: Lauryl Tryptose Broth. Mallman and Darby evaluated a variety of wetting agents and determined sodium lauryl sulfate added as a selective agent produced the best results for the detection of the coliform group. It comes with an inverted Durham tube which traps the gas which in turn serves as a presumptive test for the presence of coliforms.
Detect coliform organisms in water, wastewater and foods with Lauryl Tryptose Broth. A positive fermentation reaction is indicated by turbidity in the broth and gas bubbles in the inverted Durham tube.
This medium is used for qualitative procedures. This medium contains casein peptones that provide nitrogen, carbon and sulfur essential for bacterial growth. Lactose is the carbohydrate source fermented by coliforms. Sodium lauryl sulfate is a selective agent that inhibits many organisms other than coliforms.
Manufactured at a cGMP-compliant facility under the ISO 13485 standard, ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards, consistency, and reliability for both research and industrial settings.
