Differentiate members of Enterobacteriaceae based on sodium malonate utilization using Malonate Broth (Ewing Modification).
Differentiate members of Enterobacteriaceae based on sodium malonate utilization using InMicro® Prepared: Malonate Broth, Ewing. Malonate Broth is recommended to differentiate certain subgroups of Salmonella from other Enterobacteriaceae. Leifson developed a liquid medium to differentiate Escherichia coli from Enterobacter spp. Ewing et al. modified the Leifson’s formulation by adding a trace amount of dextrose and yeast extract to stimulate growth of certain organsims that fail to grow and obseved their reaction on malonate.
Differentiate members of Enterobacteriaceae based on sodium malonate utilization using Malonate Broth (Ewing Modification).
An organism that utilizes sodium malonate as a carbon source and ammonia sulfate as a nitrogen source produces an alkaline reaction and organisms which cannot utilize malonate will ferment dextrose, causes the pH indicator to change from green to yellow thus producing an acid reaction.
Manufactured at a cGMP-compliant facility under the ISO 13485 standard, ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards, consistency, and reliability for both research and industrial settings.
