Cultivate and maintain fungi using InMicro® Prepared: Cornmeal Agar. In 1955, Hazen and Reed utilized Cornmeal Agar for culturing pathogenic fungi. Benham used Cornmeal Agar for studying the morphology of Candida species. Cornmeal Agar is a nutritionally deficient, general purpose medium which is used for the maintenance of fungal stock cultures.
