Isolate and cultivate Gram-positive cocci, such as staphylococci and streptococci, from specimens containing mixed flora with InMicro® Prepared: Phenylethyl Alcohol Agar with 5% Sheep Blood. This medium permits the growth of Gram-positive organisms while inhibiting most Gram-negative organisms, especially the swarming of Proteus species.
Phenylethyl Alcohol Agar with 5% Sheep Blood is formulated as per Lilley and Brewer for selective isolation of Gram-positive bacteria. This medium is especially useful when specimens are contaminated with swarming Proteus species.
Manufactured at a cGMP-compliant facility under the ISO 13485 standard, ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards, consistency, and reliability for both research and industrial settings.
