The TaqBase™ DNA polymerase is a recombinantly synthesized polymerase applicable to your specific and general PCR needs in a wide variety of conditions without requiring a laborious optimization process. The polymerase and its accompaniments ensure a simple and error-free setup for your PCR reactions.
The polymerase is supplied with the unique OptiMix™ buffer allowing the user to amplify very specific PCR products by facilitating a high ratio of specific to non-specific primer binding. This is made possible by the combination of the dual-cation mix in the buffer.
TaqBase™ polymerase offers you the optional use of GlowSight™ Buffer as well for instant agarose gel loading applications for PCR products that are right out of the thermocycler. The buffer is integrated with red and orange tracking dyes and the buffer itself improves visibility of pipetting into the gels. The non-toxic AVBlend™ is also packaged with the TaqBase™ Polymerase to guarantee the amplification of several problematic GC-rich templates and dramatically improve less-than-ideal PCR outputs.
For 250 Units
● TaqBase™ DNA Polymerase (250 Units)
● 10X OptiMix™ PCR Buffer
● 10X GlowSight™ PCR Buffer
● 5X AVBlend™
● 25 mM MgCl2
Concentration of 5 units/µL
5’-3’ exonuclease activity
1000000 Fold amplification efficiency with a high specific to non-specific
primer binding ratio.
Polymerase extends at 2-4 kb/minute at 72°C
Polymerase has the capability to add extra As.
Each 20µL reaction requires 10µL of MasterMix and 10µL of DNA and
primers in appropriate dilutions.
Optimal for the following applications:
● DNA fingerprinting
● RT-PCR
● General PCR
● Screening
The GlowSight™ PCR buffer offers the same specificity and precision offered by the OptiMix™ PCR Buffer affording the users an additional use case along with the minimal optimization and increasing product loading visibility without the need for another gel loading dye.
No, the TaqBase™ DNA Polymerase when used with AVBlend™ actively discourages the formation of secondary structures due to its capability of amplifying GC-rich templates.
The unique property of the dual-cation mix in the AVBlend™ offers a specific and high-affinity binding of the primer sets at the target sites.
The use of GlowSight™ Intense is optional, however, the use of GlowSight™ is recommended where Restriction digestion reactions or genetic screening applications are involved for greater convenience and quick results.
